The Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Santa Clarita Valley, 35 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. We are headquartered at the Santa Clarita History Center, 24107 Newhall Avenue, Newhall, inside William S. Hart Park.

The Society employs best practices in collections care and preservation to ensure that the rich historical legacy of our people will be available to current and future generations. Within the decade, the Society’s outreach programs in schools, tours of historic sites, digitized archive, and electronic communications will engage evolving audiences as the Santa Clarita History Center becomes the springboard for historic tourism throughout the region.
