Kick off your 2016 Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Experience!

Laughs and toe tappin’ come with these vintage cowboy swing sounds that appeal to all ages. If you want great music from a band of multi-talented, merry men – and if you like chuckles and belly laughs along with your music – look no further. SYD MASTERS & THE SWING RIDERS bill their style as “Vintage Western Cowboy Swing.” They are serious musicians having a seriously great time presenting music from the old days, when cowboys sang songs about the ups and downs and heartaches of life.

The band’s founder, Syd Masters, is a singer and songwriter of western music.  The Western Music Association, Academy of Western Artists and The New Mexico Music Industry have combined to nominate him for more than 60 awards over the past decade.  “Vocalist of the Year,” “Country Song of the Year,” “Best Album,” Best Band,” Most Humorous Song,” and “Best Song” are some of the categories in which he was victorious.  Syd Masters is the author and recording artist of the Official State Cowboy Song of New Mexico, “Under New Mexico Skies,” making him the only person in the United States to hold such an honor.
